Steward
This role requires a friendly, personable, informative, hard-working, and professional attitude. The steward represents the restaurant and provides guests with clean eating areas, polite assistance, and an orderly setting. He or she must be motivated to excel at cleaning.
Steward Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining cleanliness of all areas of the building
- Receive and rotate all good under company standards
- Keep all soap/towel dispensers full
- Keep dishes and plates moving through the dishwasher
- Stocking wait staff serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, condiments, salt and pepper containers
- Was and tag shellfish/ shuck lobster meat
- Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures
Steward Requirements and Qualifications
- Able to move and clean quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
- Works well and efficiently under pressure
- High school degree or equivalent; or relevant work experience
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physically able to wipe down tabletops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from the floor; able to carry 25 or more pounds; able to push vacuum and mop
- Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift
- Eager to learn and grow with the company
